The 2023 governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun state, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the completion of the 2023 Ramadan fasting.
He urged them to remain committed to peaceful coexistence with other religious faiths in the country.
Ambassador Ajadi gave the charge, thanking the Almighty Allah for keeping the Muslim faithful in health to complete the religious observance.
He described the Ramadan season as a rare opportunity to commune with God, adding that the Holy month signified a period of purification, sacrifice, and an act of sincere worship.
While urging the people of the state, his supporters, and Nigerians as a whole to be cautious in celebration, Ambassador Ajadi urged Nigerian youths against being used as agents of destruction by desperate politicians.
Ajadi, who is the Managing Director of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, the producer of Coco Samba gave these admonitions in a statement he personally signed on Friday to felicitate with Muslims across the globe on the successful completion of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, “It is indeed a rare privilege for all of us to witness the beginning and the very end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The Holy month signifies a period of purification, sacrifice, and an act of sincere worship to our Almighty Creator.
“As true followers, we should be able to exhibit the piety of Ramadan beyond the Holy month.
“Let the lessons show forth in our interactions with people even those from other faith,” he admonished.
“I equally want to use this opportunity to urge our people to be on the guard against acts capable of throwing our communities into turmoil.
“Let’s not lend ourselves as tools into the hands of mischievous elements seeking to serve selfish and parochial agendas against the general welfare and wellbeing of our people.
“As our party, the NNPP seeks legal redress over the omission of its name on the ballot of the just concluded 2023 general elections, we must continue to conduct ourselves as patriots and true believers in the rule of law.
We must not indulge in acts capable of destabilizing our nascent democracy, nor scuttle our peaceful coexistence,” he advised.
Ajadi also acknowledged Nigerian youths for their energy, reiterating his commitment to their best interests in whatever possible way it could be served.
