Rampant Manchester City have thrashed league leader, Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium to cut the Gunners lead at the top to two points.
City still have two outstanding games to play and by the time they win one of those matches, Arsenal will have surrendered the top position to the Citizens.
Many had expected Arsenal to put up a still performance on Wednesday, but the homers overwhelmed the Gunners, with Kevin De Bruyne firing in the opener in just seven minutes.
De Bruyne lashed the ball with incredible pace and powered into the bottom right corner.
On first half added time, John Stones scored the second goal for City, but it was initially ruled offside, but after check on VAR, Referee Michael Oliver pointed to the centre spot to indicate that the goal stood.
On 53 minutes, Erling Haaland wasted an opportunity as he unleashed a powerful low shot from the centre of the box, but Aaron Ramsdale made a decent save to thwart him.
City made it 3-0 on 54 minutes. De Bruyne was set free in the area by Erling Haaland and he fired low past Aaron Ramsdale for his second goal.
City had in February thrashed Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
