Controversies trail 'death by hanging' of Ekiti man Akindunbi

Controversies are trailing alleged death a young man identified as Tunde Akindunbi whose remains were found a Mango tree in Dallimore area of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Saturday.

However, many who saw the remains of Akindunbi as hung on the tree suspected that he may not have hanged himself as being portrayed.

According to them, the young man might have been killed and hanged by his killers to cover-up the real cause of his death.

Leadership newspaper quoted a source in the area as saying that Akindunbi was seen around 8pm on Friday night.

He therefore speculated that he may have been killed later that night.

The newspaper also quoted another source who speculated that Akindunbi may have killed himself as a result of recent break-up with his girlfriend.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident.

He said the Police have commenced investigation on the matter and two persons have been invited for questioning over the death of the young man.
