“We’re Friends Now” – Davido Opens Up About Relationship With Burna Boy

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has revealed the relationship status between him and Burna Boy.

He made this revelation during his interview with Hot 97 Ebro FM that he and Burna Boy are on good terms.

He noted that they’d been friends for a long time and that when he dropped ‘Timeless, ‘ Burna called to congratulate him, including Wizkid.

Speaking on unity among Afrobeats artists, the Omo Baba Olowo crooner said,

“Afrobeats [artists] we are in unity. I spoke to Burna [Boy]. He called me. He calls me as well but we’ve not really spoken like that.

Asked whether he plans to resolve his issues with Burna Boy, Davido said, “I think I definitely would. He [Burna Boy] called me. Wiz [Kid] called me. And funny enough, me and Burna used to be mad close. Very very close.”

He also revealed that the alleged fight reported about him and Burna in Ghana wasn’t, particularly him and the African Gaint; instead, it was people in their entourage going at each other.

He said,

“Funny enough, it wasn’t even us. It was our people [team]. It was crazy because it didn’t even involve us.”
