Nollywood Yoruba actor Taiwo Adeshina, popularly known as Elegbeje Ado has passed on. The news of his death was announced on Tuesday morning, revealing that the actor passed on after suffering a brief illness.
The actor, aged 66 years gained widespread fame as a household name in the Yoruba movie industry for classic films like Ageku Abela, Oko Abiku, and Kadara Mi. His stage name “Elegbeje” translates to a man heavily fortified with many charms.
In 2016, Taiwo Adeshina dedicated his life to God, establishing the Heroes of Faith Gospel Film Ministry and Pastored a church in Ogun State.
Reports say that the actor passed away on Monday, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances and dedicated service.
