OPay Partners CBN to Promote Financial Literacy Among Nigerian Students at Global Money Week 2026
Fintech company OPay has partnered with the Central Bank of Nigeria to promote financial literacy among young Nigerians during the Global Money Week 2026 event held in Abuja.
The event, themed “Smart Money Talks,” brought together secondary school students from across the Federal Capital Territory to teach responsible money management, savings, and financial awareness. It is part of a global initiative aimed at preparing young people for a digital and interconnected financial future.
Officials from the CBN stressed that financial literacy is essential for national development and long-term economic stability, while OPay representatives emphasized that early education is key to building financial discipline and trust in digital financial services.
The programme featured interactive sessions and exhibitions where students engaged with practical financial tools and learned about modern payment systems. OPay reaffirmed its commitment to financial inclusion, consumer protection, and supporting Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
